GymYug helps gyms and their members manage workouts, schedules, and gym communication. This policy describes what we collect, why we use it, and the choices you have.
Who we are
GymYug is operated by the GymYug team (“we”, “us”, “our”). We provide gym-branded mobile apps and related services to fitness businesses and their members.

Information we collect
- Account and profile details such as your name, mobile number, gym role, and optional profile photo.
- Workout and fitness activity you log in the app, including assigned workouts, session history, and body metrics your gym tracks.
- Gym content you create or view, such as feed posts, event details, and timetable information.
- Device and app data needed to run the service, including push notification tokens (Firebase Cloud Messaging / Apple Push Notification service), device type, and basic diagnostic logs.
- Photos you choose to upload for your profile, gym feed posts, events, or branding (we do not access your library without your action).
- Barcode or member identifiers scanned by authorized gym staff for check-in or profile approval workflows.
- If you subscribe as a gym operator on our website: gym name, mobile number used for OTP, selected plan, and payment references from our payment processor (we do not store full card numbers on our servers).
How we use information
- Authenticate you and keep your session secure.
- Deliver gym-specific workouts, schedules, announcements, and trainer assistance features.
- Send push notifications about gym activity you opt into, such as assistance requests or gym updates.
- Operate, secure, and improve the app and backend infrastructure.
- Respond to support requests and comply with applicable law.
Device permissions
The mobile app requests permissions only when a feature needs them. You can decline or revoke permissions in your device settings, though related features may stop working.
- Camera — scan member barcodes and capture photos where the app explicitly asks.
- Photo library — choose images for profile photos, feed posts, and gym events.
- Notifications — deliver timely gym and trainer-assistance alerts.
Payments
Gym subscription payments on the website are processed by Razorpay. Razorpay’s privacy practices apply to card, UPI, and net-banking details you enter in their checkout. We receive payment status, order identifiers, and limited billing metadata needed to activate or support your subscription.
Data retention
We retain information while your gym maintains an active relationship with us and as needed to provide the service, resolve disputes, and meet legal obligations. Retention periods may also be governed by your gym’s policies.
Your choices and rights
- Update profile details and photos from within the app where available.
- Control notification permissions from your device settings.
- Request access, correction, or deletion of your account data by contacting your gym administrator or emailing us at support@gymyug.com. App Store and Play Store listings also use this contact for account-deletion requests.
- If you are in a region with additional privacy rights, contact us and we will respond as required by applicable law.
Children
GymYug is intended for gym members and staff. It is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.
Security
We use industry-standard safeguards such as encrypted transport (HTTPS), secure token storage on devices, and access controls on our servers. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure.
Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will revise the “Last updated” date below when changes are posted. Continued use of the service after an update means you accept the revised policy.
